Through my travels, volunteering, and partnerships with local organizations in Rwanda, I met students and families whose focus, discipline, and ambition deeply changed the way I see opportunity.They balance school with caring for family members, long daily commutes to class, and serious responsibility at a very young age, carrying far more than most people their age ever should. Their determination is extraordinary. What they often lack is not ability, but access — to school fees, materials, safe housing, and vocational training.

Again and again, I saw how small amounts of support can unlock enormous potential. A uniform, a mattress, a set of books, or a scholarship can be the difference between dropping out and moving forward. Knowing this makes it impossible for me to stay passive. It pushes me to do better, to use my education, my voice, and my access to resources to build real connections between donors and students who are ready to work for their future.
